Children

As we look to what we should be doing in ministry I find that I am constantly drawn to children and Andy is drawn to adults. Does that mean I am just immature? Well this is what I think when I think about Children.

Children are a heritage from the Lord
Children take things on face value
Let the children come to Me (said Jesus)
don't stop them
for of such is the kingdom of heaven
Unless you become like little children
you will not enter the kingdom of heaven
Their angels are always beholding the face of My Father
If anyone hurts one of these little ones....
(well read Matthew...........)
If you have done it to one of the least of my brethren
You have done it to me
(Amy Carmichael's mandate for working with the outcast
children of India)
Children are: what you see is what you get
Children forgive so readily
Children tell you the truth even if hurts
Children just want some time and interest
(yes even teens)
Children are wet clay
Adults are.....(you fill it in)
Maybe that's what Jesus meant when He said
'You must become like little children"
What highter calling, I wonder, is there
Than being a career mother!
Do we get confused because of the paycheck
or the world's view of what is worthwhile?

Hi There!

One of the grade 5-7 S.S. boys took this. I think I'm telling him not to mess with me. They are a great bunch and the S.S. curriculum I am working on for the church seems to be going well. Posted by Picasa

The Threesome!

What a bunch. It's so great that the girls have such a friendship. I believe it will last their lifetime. Ocean and Sierra really miss Emma and talk about her all the time. They know when they are going to bed, Emma is waking up and visa versa. Posted by Picasa

Journey & Ocean

Just like a big sister! Journey really looks up to Ocean and tries her best to keep up. She is very active and loves being outside. I think she loves her new home which actually belongs to Ocean and her family. O Posted by Picasa

Jon & Brad

What interesting fellows! Very different personalities but alot of fun to be around. We don't get to do too much with them...but wish we could. I personally had a great week with them this summer. (I know...I still owe you the prizes for clean rooms!) Posted by Picasa

E.D.B.D.

My little mischief maker! But he and I have a great relationship. He is hilarious. Very loving with baby Solomon, very interested in Noey...Journey, and he loves to work. He's interested in how things work...amazing for an almost 3 year old AND he is finally talking...very proud of himself too. Posted by Picasa

Where does the time go?

Its been ages since I blogged even though I check everyone else's regularly...I mean daily...I mean more than once a day...just in case. I love sitting at Sara's computer (when the snakes aren't crawling around their cage) and play my IL DIVO christmas cd. (actually its Laura's) I'm usually doing laundry at the same time (lest you think I'm loafing!)

Its been a autumn of upheaval for sure. But I think we are all doing not to bad. Andy and I still don't know what we are doing beside the coffee truck and babysitting. Mind you, we both enjoy what we are doing very much!

We are very grateful for the way Sara and especially John (we are in-laws after all)
have incorporated us into their very busy household. Its alot like ours used to be; strange and wonderful people all over the place all the time! I think we are helpful...most of the time. I even do the babysitting of Ocean and Mikyla (the other little 5 year old) over here. When its half nice outside we can play with the bunnies, guinea pigs and the pig (named Charlotte..came with that name) not to mention the horses, trampoline, swing, cats...I love it.

That's it for now...just wanted to catch up. I need some pictures for sure but they're all on my computer at Amanda's)

To keep up with all of us check out the blog links especially on David and Erins blog..davidanderin.blogspot.com
