Weekend Doings!

I know Laura blogged but I just wanted to say I had a great weekend in Three Hills.
My Fair Lady was excellent! I'm going back THIS weekend for the matinee!
I also spent two days in the rain...about and hour and a half each day, with Silky!
Tuesday Sara had a candle party. So I got to see Silky again and the girls!
It was fun..Sierra is pointing out the candles she 'would' pick for everyone.
Yesturday was her birthday! Seven already. Can't wait for Emma to get home so the girls can be together again!

Mother's Day

This year the girls had a great idea! Amy ran a mother/daughter
scrapbooking day! Laura and I drove up from Calgary to join Sara, Amy and
Amanda! We had a great day and they even got me to scrapbook the
timeline from Andy's 60tieth. We had a great lunch with Trifle by Amanda!
And the girls made me feel very blessed by praying for me!
Casendra slept through most of it!
The day ended bittersweet with a visit to Silky.....

Silky

Old Friend!
Elegant,Silky.
Winter was always hard on you
But you always bounced back!
Not this year.
This year we realised
You can't do another winter.
I'm sad.
You've been a good friend.
I love grooming you
and I always felt safe when I rode you.
I thank you for that!
Stubborn? Yes!
But so am I!
I don't know if I'll ever feel
so safe on another horse.
I'm going to miss you.
I wish you could be in my own
back yard.
Just for this summer.
But I don't have a backyard.
I think its time we let you go
live with Tess.
She'll be glad to see her old friend.
But we'll miss you.
I'll miss you!
Old Friend!

Easter!

I was bemoaning the fact that I have a great yard for an Easteregg hunt this year and no kids.
When lo and behold Amanda brought the boys and Ocean down. Yeah, the boys hid the choc eggs in the yard while we were in church and when we came home we had a great hunt. If I'd have known they were coming I'd have had so much more to hide!

Schoo.!

I am still thoroughly enjoying school. I'm told I am the amuzement in the class! Hmmm, what does that mean? Every Thursday the kids mix up pancakes, we've had choc chip, strawberries, green for St. Patrick's day, etc. and I cook them. Fun! When we cook. all the kids take part in the preparation...crazy! The picture of Meredith the teacher, is a crazy one cause she is a crazy fun lady! AND they want me back!!!!

Gramma & Girls' Weekend

I was so priviledged to get one weekend with Ocean, Sierra and Journey this winter. We stayed at Amanda's and did crafts for valentine's, made beaded rings, baked, watched an American Girl movie, had a sleep over and ended it all with tea at the 'Tea House' in Three Hills. What a neat place that is; If you are ever in Three Hills...that's a great stop!

Budding Figure Skaters

Ocean and Sierra took up ice skating this winter and did really well. There are plans for at least Ocean to take figure skating lessons next year!
