Barney Barnacle

So I am snorkeling along when all of a sudden there is old Barney Barnacle! I followed him a long

way.......

you can tell he is old because of the barnacles on him. I wonder if they affect his sight?

I had a hard time catching up to him...he is actually quite fast! Aren't turtles supposed to be slow?

OOOOOH I love turtles!!!!!

So I was following Barney when I came to the surface and right beside me was

another turtle. I DID NOT TOUCH HIM!!!!!!

BUT I did follow him.

I followed him till he settled on the bottom!

Then I went to find Sandy.

She had spotted a turtle at a different place. When he came up for air he was so close he almost touched ME!!!!!!! BAD turtle!!!!!
BUT I DID NOT TOUCH HIM!! GOOD GRAMMA!!!!!

He floats down and goes into his cave! If you come back tomorrow, he will be there! That is where he lives! (watch for him to him rub his eye (or wipe his mouth) with his flipper)

Yoga on the beach!

Yeah right! I am mocking someone who pranced around in front of us yesturday doing yoga in her bikini for a long time early morning...no one else on the beach but she chose us...oh maybe it was because the webcam is there! Anyway Mark Jordan noticed her ... so today the story is....
"Did you see the lady doing yoga on the beach...she is covered up because last night we saw her at a luau and she gained a few pounds!!!" (Sorry)

TURTLE? NO! CHAR'S HEAD!

It was very deep there! Well over my head. I missed the turtle but the water was lovely!

Come on seriously...how can you not take pics. This was with Andy's phone. Oh this morning was amazing! Turtles, swimming leisurely by, two whales off shore...the pic does not show it as close as it was at all. So big! Wish he'd breach right there but they are just hovering.

We are grateful they allowed us to come!

Dolphins

The whales were way out today, I could see the splashes and some bodies but couldn't catch them. However as Andy and I were strolling down the beach IN the ocean, several Dolphins swam by. Close but not close enough to even try to touch. Too bad! AND I chose not to take my water camera! Duh!!!!

Poor Martyn this was day 3 of not being well. How were we to know he had pneumonia, a bladder infection and was dehydrated...so that his parkinsons meds weren't working either.....

So Sandy wants a picture and I am telling Andy, don't talk, just relax then you'll take a good picture...

its easy....just relax and smile!

Oh well.

Early Morning!

So at about 5.20 a.m. I start down to the beach, I joggle to the end and back and as I am returning...there is Andy ready to start his jog...then we sit and watch night fade into day...

Today....the wales were breaching right on the horizon...so big, so plain!

What a way to start the day!!!!!!

Strange New Sea Creatures

What a fun day..Maui Coffee Mill, Shopping, whale watching, picnic on the beach, tanning, snorkeling...just the two of us...(sea creatures!)

A Whale of a Show!!!

I am so frustrated. Erin, come help me with the camera! I don't know how to capture all the whales we are seeing! What setting to use? How to see through the view thingy so I know what I am taking.
We sat on the beach and watched whales leaping and lobtailing and blowing and splashing right in front of us. I mean their entire bodies were out of the water...there was a whole 'pod' of them!
