The Last Enemy

Death! I understand death. It is the last enemy! There is nothing natural or right about it. It doesn't matter if it is a human or an animal..IT IS WRONG! God did not create death He never intended that there be death.
BUT He has defeated that last enemy! Thank God!

Free at last!

This cloud formation showed up right after we put Silky to sleep. I pictured it as her 'stairway to heaven' and captured it for mom as best I could. Love you Silky...I will miss you, but am very glad Tess has you back now! You can rule the roost together again :)

August?!

What did we do in August?

Said "Hello"

Yep, David came home and we got reacquainted with Emma, Josiah and Hudson. It was great to spend time with David, he helped me shop for the coffee truck, then he went off again...to drive across Canada to visit with Erin's parents.

Said goodbye!

Yes, Peter went off August 5th with one of his professor/friends and another friend to check out Ethiopia and Kenya as possible locations for Mt. Royal practicums in the youth and child counsellor program. We've heard from him and though they have been sick it seems its successful so far and they are glad they went!

They did it!

We were in Dorion for the dedication of their new DEBT FREE church building! Wow! Its beautiful! And functional! And everyone helped build it and had a great time! The ribbon cutting, The Country Gentlemen singing, the past pioneers looking down from the back balcony and SMILING! Hi mom! What a great day of visiting and rejoicing and remembering.

You can DO it!

Right! Ruth really wanted me to go to the 'Falls' but I was pretty sure I couldn't do the climb up or down. So, I stayed home with dad and had a great day and when they all returned Andy assured me that 'No, you couldn't do it' There's my goal for the next time I go to Dorion. They look like so much fun!

Those Jameses!

Really a long trip through Mongolia, China, across half of Canada, those Jameses are adventurous. Emma is open and friendly and willing to try just about anything, and the boys are getting used to English speaking people, and being left with people they really don't know. I think they are doing fantastic. Its fun to watch them.

STRANGE BEDFELLOWS!

I slept in the tent with Andy the first night BUT the thought of a meteor shower lured me to the trampoline...where...I was joined by Ruth 1 1/2 nights and Jon the last night....non of my feminine charms could drag Andy out of his comfy tent though. The nights were beautiful BUT the shower was a mere trickle.
